Lac Calm Foret - Is set in the most beautiful part of France and the local town 3mins from the lake
called argenton sur- creuse the lake and Accommodation has good access and set behind private
gates totally tree lined and backing onto a forest with wild life mainly deer who come to the lake to drink water

The Main Lake

The lake was excavated in 1984 and it was used by local families for weekends. The eldest son then decided to take over the lake and build a small fishing trip business. So he set out to stock a good strain of carp and introduce food over the course of the year without fishing . the fish have now grown to give a nice bend in the rod. then come TMW Lakes the new concept for a true angler. we purchased Lac Calm Foret in late 2002. The main lake was drained down to a level where the fish could be netted and the small fish was taken out and put in a local pond. we then introduced one ton of quality carp from a local fish farmer including seven fish from 22lb to 29lb and three fish to over 30lb. the lake was opened for fishing in April 2004 and we have had good catch reports throughout the season top weight being 36lb

The Top Lake

The work started on the top lake in October 2004. the lake size is 100ft by 25ft and has all ways been great for float fishing. we netted and released the fish into holding areas. we then excavated to a depth from six feet to four feet and we introduced gravel bars and a plato to the deepest part of the lake the lake bed is of good solid clay. we have provided a drawing and this is placed in the log cabin. we also built a new decking area that lays over the water. the decking has a traditional French tiled roof set on traditional logs. the lake has now been filled by natural source and the fish have no been returned with a new stock of common - mirror carp and 30 tench two 4lb total number of fish is 86 ranging from 7 to 15lb
